Yes. CB radio is legal in all 50 states for personal use. No license required. Installation must not obstruct driver view.

  • CB radio legal for personal use across US and Canada

  • No FCC license required for CB (Class D Citizen Band)

  • Maximum power 4 watts (standard for CB)

  • Antenna mounting must not obstruct driver vision

  • Using CB while driving: legal in most states, but some restrict handheld mics

  • Handheld CB radios also permitted (no different from cell phone in some states)
