Can I bring a BBQ grill on a road trip?
Yes. Portable BBQs are legal to transport. Propane canisters of reasonable size (under 5 gallons) are allowed. Grills must be clean and cool before transport.
Charcoal grills: allowed, store charcoal in sealed container
Propane grills: allowed, but check campground propane restrictions
Propane canisters under 5 gallons legal to transport in all states
Never transport a hot or warm grill (fire risk)
