Can I bring a drone to Portugal?

Yes. Drones under 250g have fewer restrictions. All drones must be registered with ANAC. Insurance required for drones over 250g.

  • Registration with ANAC (National Civil Aviation Authority) required online (€10-20)

  • No-fly zones: airports (10km), Lisbon and Porto city centers, crowds, beaches (summer)

  • Maximum altitude 120m, must maintain visual line of sight

  • Insurance required for drones over 250g (liability coverage)

  • Flying over historic districts (Alfama, BelĂ©m) prohibited

  • Fines from €500 to €5,000 for violations
