Can I bring a drone to Kenya?

Yes, but requires a UAS import permit from Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) prior to importation. Drones are restricted items and failure to declare results in forfeiture.

  • KCAA classifies drone operations into VLOS, eVLOS, and BVLOS categories 

  • Registration and approval required for operation
