Can I bring a drone to Belgium?

Yes. Drones under 250g allowed. All drones must be registered with FPS Mobility. Drones over 250g require pilot certificate.

  • Registration with FPS Mobility (Federal Public Service) required online

  • Drones under 250g: registration required but no pilot certificate

  • Drones 250g-25kg: registration + online pilot certificate (free exam)

  • No-fly zones: Brussels city center (banned), airports (5km), nuclear sites, royal residences

  • Insurance mandatory for all drones regardless of weight

  • Fines from €600 to €60,000 for serious violations (airport zone incursions)
