Can I bring a Bible to China?

Yes. Personal Bibles are allowed. However, you cannot bring more than a few copies (personal use only). Mass distribution or large quantities may be confiscated.

  • Personal Bibles for private use are generally permitted

  • Carrying multiple copies (3+) may raise suspicion of distribution

  • Importing Bibles for non-personal purposes requires government approval

  • Religious items are subject to customs inspection at point of entry

  • Electronic Bibles on phones or tablets have no restrictions

  • Avoid bringing Bibles with political or anti-government content
