Can I bring a scuba diving regulator in my carry-on?

Yes. Regulators are generally allowed in carry-on. However, the scuba tank itself must be completely empty with valve removed. Regulators without tanks are fine.

  • Regulators without tanks are standard personal items, allowed in carry-on and checked bags

  • Scuba tanks are prohibited unless completely empty with valve removed (open for inspection)

  • The tank interior must be open to inspection, security may require valve to be unscrewed

  • Tanks pressurized below 2 Bar are not restricted as hazardous materials but still require inspection

  • Place small regulator parts (o-rings, washers) in a zip lock bag to prevent loss

  • Bring spare o-rings for reassembling after security
